Cranberry Pear Crisp with Almond Oat Topping (Filling)

This homey dessert is perfect in the fall when pears are at their best! A real crowd-pleaser, this crisp is perfect for parties or large gatherings making it an easy dessert that everyone will love. This is the second part to a two part recipe.
Ingredients:
- pears - 5 large, ripe unpeeled Bartletts, sliced
- cranberries - 1 bag, fresh or frozen, carefully rinsed
- juice of lemon - 1
- arrowroot powder - 3 tablespoons
- agave nectar (Sohgave! Light) - 1/4 cup
- cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- nutmeg - pinch
- water - 1/2 cup, cold
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
- To make the filling, in a large bowl toss together the pears, cranberries lemon juice, arrowroot powder, agave nectar, cinnamon and nutmeg
- Spoon the filling into a 9 by 13-inch baking dish
- Pour the water over the filling to provide extra moisture
